• arnold (the blue woolymagma) = frisk (i imagine arnold as the type who’s all shy and timid and doesn’t really like to get involved with conflict)
  
  
• harry = sans (is aware they they’re trapped in an endless limbo (commonly referred to as the “june 19th limbo”) but has given up hope trying to escape it, lost both his friends and is suffering for it, but tries to hide it by being stoic and chill and doing his best to tolerate the other “oddjects” he’s forced to deal with. especially tony. at this point, they don’t even recognize him as a student, and even if they did, he’s too strong and resistant for anyone to kill “enlighten” him so easily. also people ship him with himself, sooooooo yeah.)
  
  
• tony = papyrus (always working hard, follows a specific schedule, considered by many to be “too loud”, and does not like to waste any time at all. also, spaghetti = pizzer. think about it.)
  
  
• lampert the lamp = undyne (he probably has no idea what he’s doing, all he knows is that he’s gotta kill some students and give them to an insane butterfly so he can take their soul. yeah, totally not weird and/or concerning at all. he probably thinks it’s a dream that he should follow and make it come true.)
  
  
• laptop = alphys (i headcanon that the laptop from dhmis 4 is related to colin, like siblings. and she’s pretty much done with him. she doesn’t really care much for hunting down students and “enlightening” them like oddjects are meant to do, she’s mostly too busy trying to keep colin from blowing stuff up or something.)
  
  
• colin = mettaton (lately, he’s been experimenting with digital styles and digital dancing. also, something something robot model??? i dunno, as long as he’s not causing digital chaos…)
  
  
• gilbert = napstablook (ignored by the rest of the world, awkward and quiet, but is really a nice guy, albeit kind of a pushover.)
  
  
• sketchbook = toriel (she only means well and doesn’t any other students to get hurt or killed, and is actually really nice. she knows about shrignold’s intentions and tries her hardest to make arnold stay with her so he doesn’t get killed…even though that’s what oddjects are mostly all about.)
  
  
• shrignold = asgore (after his love cult gave up hope on breaking out of the june 19th limbo so they can be free to spread their love to the rest of the world, they disbanded. their leader, shrignold, went crazy from being alone for so long, and claims that malcolm told him to round up the other cult members (who were all previously students), kill them, and take their souls to break the seal. however, he still needs one more student soul…)

not shown, but most are definite:

• manny = asriel (he is a precious cinnamon roll who didn’t deserve to die, and yet he was forced to eat his friend robin and was later driven to insanity and died due to “unknown causes”. this caused him to lose his soul, and robin’s along with it. however, he was brought back…)
  
  
• sloan flower = flowey (they’re both evil(ish?) flowers, what more can i say?)
  
  
• robin = chara (he’s not too happy that he was abandoned by harry and eaten by manny, and he only has the oddjects to blame for it all. now that he doesn’t have a soul, he no longer has any morale and wants to end it all by killing them…making him into what he was trying to destroy in the first place…and harry knows this too. (at least by the end of the genocide run, where he recognizes robin’s spirit trying to take control of arnold and tries to snap him out of it.))
  
  
• bread boy = monster kid (a precious child. p r o t e c t h i m.)
  
  
• porkchop/meat man = burgerpants
  
  
• campbell/spinach can = nice cream guy (even though nice cream makes your teeth go gray. she doesn’t seem to know. it’s better off that way.)
